Everyone in my club told me to wear a tie or else I'd be the person in jeans and the sweatshirt. The only difference is that it'd say Ohio State or Purdue, which aren't local colleges for Seattle.

I read this blog entry this morning, and went to an Area contest in the afternoon.

One of the five evaluation contestants was pretty good, she certainly could have placed on talent alone. However, she was was wearing faded jeans with a hole in the pocket area, and a hoodie sweatshirt with the name of a local college on it. She didn't place at all.

You are so right! We have one contestant who wears the very same old style ill-fitting jacket for every single contest...and he's usually the best-dressed!
