This is the last of my five articles about the Neighborhood Extension Program (NEP). No nit picking on poor bureaucrats in this one, but rather praise.
Believe it or not, the mother of our good natured bureaucrat did not name him “good natured bureaucrat” or “NEP guy,” despite my repeatedly calling him that. She named him Ron.
I sent Ron an email asking to get the list of NEP projects so I could take the picture here. He immediately responded. Ron received a message from my email server telling him (incorrectly) that the message had not been delivered. So he called me and left a lengthy answer on my answering machine explaining what happened with the email and giving me the information I asked for.
I thanked Ron and mentioned that I was going to be nitpicking him on the blog, pointing him to my first article. Ron then nitpicked me on some mistakes I had made around NEP specifics, which I have fixed. Turnabout is fair play after all! He also signed his name to the email good natured bureaucrat, showing that this hasn’t bruised his ego.
If everyone in our government was as efficient as our good natured bureaucrat, I’d be a Democrat.
